Year of The Snake
This has always been a theme with us, even back to Dragon School days, where young women take the initiative and aren’t afraid to collaborate and grow. Take a clue fellas, women just generally are more willing to jump in and work together on projects in our experience. We are really proud that the environment we’ve cultivated also is in the most real terms, a safe space to create art for everybody, regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation. People feel at ease and eager to learn and teach in the setting we provide.
This year four outstanding young artists were led by an OG street art and graffiti Sensei (one that you may not have heard of because for such a talented artists he is reclusive and elusive) Mr. Hyde! Hyde One - also known as David Cho to his friends and family.
Hyde gave these artists some tips on using the medium of spray paint. Many artists that are used to the brush are pretty anxious to learn spray paint skills as that medium is extremely versatile and opens up a whole new world of producing art with aerosol.
